At common law, for a gift to have legal effect, it was just that there be (1) intent by the donor to give a gift, (2) acceptance of the gift by the donee, and (3) delivery to the donee Corporate Gift Baskets of the account to be given as a gift.
Archaeological sites in the Middle East show that weaving techniques were worn to make mats and possibly also baskets, circa 8 000 BC. Baskets made with manifold interwoven techniques were common at 3 000 BC.
